  • Ask for clarity on any service procedures or parts required to complete the service. If something isn’t explained clearly but is supposed to be included in the cost of the vehicle’s services, ask for clarification at your next visit, so you know exactly what will be done and how much it will cost.
  • Use open questions instead of yes-or-no questions when getting information about services or parts needed for the vehicle(s). Essentially, open questions work like this: “I’d like to know if we need these parts.” If there’s no reply, go ahead with asking another question about that topic, so there’s no misunderstanding about what one would need next time around.
