How Your Cars Air Conditioning Works - Car Stereo Wiring

Have you ever wondered what the purpose of an air conditioner is? Well, the auto air conditioning cools down your vehicle by circulating cold or hot air through the vents and blowing it out into the cabin. So here is the process of how the car air conditioning system works.

First, the compressor compresses the refrigerant gas to make it super-cold which then flows through the condenser coil where it gets cooled down by the outside air.

After that, the liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve where it becomes gaseous again. This allows the refrigerant to flow through the evaporator coil where it absorbs heat from the surrounding air and turns back into a liquid state.

Next, the liquid refrigerant enters the receiver tank where it collects in the bottom until it is ready to be sent back to the compressor. This is when the cycle starts all over again.

Caring for your AC system is important as it can save you money on repairs and help extend its life. If you notice any red flags such as leaking hoses or broken parts, get them replaced right away.
